Lexie Hanna, VMD has been practicing acupuncture since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Her interest in treating the whole patient in a caring and compassionate manner started prior to vet school, when she assisted a veterinary equine acupuncturist, who worked with race horses along the East Coast. The transformations were incredible.
Acupuncture is the insertion of tiny needles into specific locations along the body and has been used for thousands of years to treat painful conditions like arthritis and back pain. As our pets age, acupuncture can help them feel better and have more energy to live out the end of their lives gracefully. Dr. Hanna enjoys educating owners and working with them to come up with the optimal plan for a peaceful outcome, for both their pets and their family.
